Resources for Applicants

With 60 major and 40 graduate programs from which to choose, you can study what you like at Sacramento State. Our most popular majors are teacher education, business, computer technology, criminal justice, psychology and communication studies. We have a new General Education Honors Program for high-achieving students, and Sac State is home to the prestigious Capital Fellows Program, in which graduate students work for credit as full-time staff in State legislative, executive and judicial offices.

Sacramento is one of the state's most affordable big cities and is booming with dozens of stylish restaurants, galleries and boutiques within minutes of campus. The region's parks, rivers and nearby recreation areas make it popular with outdoor enthusiasts. Within easy driving distance are San Francisco, the Napa and Sonoma valleys, the historic gold country and Lake Tahoe.
